Guided Bird Walk

Join professional expert birder and wildlife biologist Judy Camuso for a guided bird walk on beautiful Swan Island. Walk through many different habitat types on the island to discover multiple species of birds. Judy has spent years observing birds professionally and as a hobby while working as a wildlife biologist for Maine Audubon and MDIFW. Call now - there are a limited number of spaces available for this first com, first serve outing.

Learn about Peregrine Falcons

Larry Barnes is a Maine Master Falconer and has a wealth of knowledge about Maine raptors. Come to Larry's exciting presentation about Peregrine Falcons to learn about this fascinating bird and see one live and up close. All your questions will be answered at this fun event, which is suitable for young and old alike. Space is limited, so call ahead to attend.

Richmond Days

Swan Island takes part in Richmond Days Celebration. We will offer free island truck tours at 9am, 11am, 1pm, and 3pm on Saturday. Each tour will leave the Swan Island landing in the island ferry and travel across the river for a 2 hour tour and then return directly to the dock. Once back at the dock you can join in many other Richmond Days festivities. Space is limited so make sure and reserve your spot ahead of time. Details to be announced. Living History Reenactment

Step back in time to 1755 and interact with this group of historians as they re-create living on the Kennebec Frontier during the French and Indian War.
